FIRST.bet and Pragmatic Solutions Join Forces for Sportsbook Growth

FIRST.bet and Pragmatic Solutions have announced a strategic partnership. Operators will gain access to a fully managed sportsbook engine focused on regulated markets through this integration.
FIRST.bet, a provider of sportsbook technology, has announced its integration with Pragmatic Solutions' iGaming Player Account Management (PAM) platform. This creates an optimized solution for operators looking to offer or expand sports betting in regulated markets.
Through this collaboration, operators can access FIRST.bet's complete sportsbook engine, trading stack, risk management, and managed services via the Pragmatic Solutions ecosystem. This consolidation brings together the core layers necessary for building and scaling competitive betting operations: Pragmatic Solutions' modern PAM platform and FIRST.bet's trading-led sportsbook technology. The Pragmatic Solutions platform is designed to support end-to-end player journeys, multiple brands, and flexible operations through a stable, scalable central infrastructure layer. Its open API model enables operators to integrate and manage sportsbook, casino, payments, CRM, compliance, reporting, and third-party services within a single platform environment, while retaining control over their product roadmap, front-end experience, and vendor strategy.
Numbers and facts
FIRST.bet is already live within the Pragmatic Solutions ecosystem. The company positions itself as a managed sportsbook solution with advanced in-play betting and player engagement features. Tom Light, Founder and CEO of FIRST.bet, emphasized the significance of this development:
“This is a major step for FIRST.bet. Operators don’t need another basic sportsbook connection – they need real trading depth, product innovation and managed execution that moves the business. That’s exactly where we focus: a sportsbook engineered to perform, run by a team that owns the result. Being available through Pragmatic Solutions puts that in front of operators who are serious about competing in sports.” - Tom Light, Founder and CEO of FIRST.bet
Two distinguishing features of FIRST.bet's stack are an open API called SportOS and a gamification engine called GMFY. SportOS allows operators to build and customize their own betting products on top of the FIRST.bet engine. The GMFY gamification engine aims to integrate engagement and retention natively into the betting experience. These are complemented by expected features such as Bet Builder, Player Props, Cash Out, Early Payout, and ACCA Promotions, as well as Fast Markets and SnapBet.
FIRST.bet powers a growing global partner network, handling millions of daily transactions across LATAM, Europe, and Africa. The company was named “Sportsbook Supplier of the Year” at the SBC Awards 2025 and the EGR LATAM Awards 2025 and 2026. It also received the “Best Sportsbook Provider” award at BiS SiGMA South America 2026. Pragmatic Solutions was recognized as “Full-Service Platform of the Year” at the EGR B2B Awards 2026.
The partnership also extends FIRST.bet's B2B offering beyond core sports betting to include prediction markets, in collaboration with ADI Predictstreet. This collaboration features a dedicated FIFA World Cup 2026 Prediction Hub, bringing the combined offering to football's biggest global stage. Ashley Lang, CEO of Pragmatic Solutions, highlighted the importance for regulated markets:
“Sportsbook remains a core component of the product offering for many operators, particularly in regulated markets where flexibility, compliance, and speed to market are important. FIRST.bet brings a strong sportsbook product to our platform ecosystem, giving operators access to a modular product with proven in-play and player engagement capabilities.” - Ashley Lang, CEO of Pragmatic Solutions
Background
The integration of these two providers illustrates a trend in the iGaming industry: the consolidation of technology and services to offer operators a more comprehensive and efficient all-in-one solution. Instead of laboriously integrating individual components, operators can access predefined and proven packages. This saves development time and costs and enables faster market entry. Such integration is particularly beneficial for the sports betting sector, which heavily relies on live data and quick responses.
The awards received by both companies underscore their position as important players in their respective fields. FIRST.bet, with its focus on trading depth and gamification, and Pragmatic Solutions, with its robust PAM platform, offer a combination tailored to the needs of the modern betting market. The expansion into regulated markets in Latin America, Europe, and Africa demonstrates the global reach and ambitions of the partners.
Why it matters for German players
For German players, this type of technical partnership has no direct impact on the gaming experience or regulation. In Germany, online sports betting is strictly regulated by the German Interstate Treaty on Gambling 2021 (GlüStV 2021). Only providers holding a license from the Joint Gambling Authority of the Federal States (GGL) are permitted to legally offer their services. These providers are listed on a so-called whitelist.
The integration of FIRST.bet and Pragmatic Solutions is aimed at operators and represents a B2B solution. It is up to the licensed sports betting providers in Germany to decide which software service providers they use for their offerings. As long as a provider holds a GGL license and adheres to German regulations, such as the deposit limit of 1,000 Euros per month (monitored via the LUGAS system) and strict player protection measures, they can theoretically utilize such international technology packages. Slot machines in German online casinos, for example, are subject to a stake limit of one Euro per spin, which does not apply to sports betting but illustrates the strict regulation.
What it means for GGL-licensed casinos
GGL-licensed casinos in Germany must adhere to the stringent requirements of the German Interstate Treaty on Gambling 2021. This applies not only to player protection but also to technical implementation. If a GGL casino plans to offer sports betting, it must ensure that the technology used complies with all German requirements. This includes the ability to monitor the 1,000 Euro/month deposit limit, ensure secure data processing, and implement all addiction prevention measures. Providers like FIRST.bet and Pragmatic Solutions emphasize regulated markets, which could facilitate integration into a GGL-compliant system. However, the responsibility for full compliance always lies with the licensed operator itself. They must ensure that every software and service provider used complies with German laws and guidelines, particularly concerning LUGAS and player management.
