LuckyStreak und SetantaBET: Neue Casino-Partnerschaft vor der Fußball-WM 2026

Live casino provider LuckyStreak and SetantaBET, the gaming arm of Setanta Sports, have finalized a new partnership. Over 6,000 games from 60+ providers are now available at SetantaBET.

LuckyStreak, known for its live casino offerings and content aggregation, has forged a comprehensive partnership with SetantaBET. SetantaBET is the gaming and sports betting division of the sports media and entertainment company Setanta Sports. This collaboration aims to accelerate the launch of SetantaBET's new online casino, particularly with an eye on the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Through the integration of the LuckyConnect API, SetantaBET gains access to a vast portfolio. This includes not only LuckyStreak's proprietary live dealer games, streamed from a Riga studio, but also over 6,000 other casino games. These originate from more than 60 leading global game developers. The goal is to facilitate the conversion of sports viewers into active players by providing a diverse range of entertainment.

Numbers and facts

LuckyStreak is providing SetantaBET with its live dealer games such as Roulette, Blackjack, and Baccarat. In addition, the operator is integrating over 6,000 classic casino slots and table games via the LuckyConnect Aggregation Services. These games come from over 60 different providers, ensuring immense variety. The platform integration is strategically timed ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. SetantaBET plans to support its growth targets following its launch in Georgia. A key element for player retention is the proprietary loyalty system named “GOAT CLUB.” This system automatically rewards active players with “Setanta Coins” cashback, divided into four progressive membership tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. As players climb these tiers, they unlock increasingly valuable rewards. Ady Totah, CEO and Co-founder of LuckyStreak, commented:

“SetantaBET is a new and fast-growing operator backed by the strength, reach and reputation of the Setanta brand. Their ambitions for the business are clear, and through LuckyConnect and our live dealer portfolio, we’re giving their players access to a diverse portfolio of thousands of world-class games through a single integration, while equipping their team with the content, flexibility and scalability needed to support growth across multiple markets.” - Ady Totah, CEO and Co-founder of LuckyStreak

Background

Founded in Tbilisi, Georgia, Setanta Sports has grown to become one of the most recognized sports broadcasters across Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Setanta Sports delivers live sports content through traditional television channels and its proprietary over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform, holding broadcasting rights to many of the world's premier sporting competitions. SetantaBET leverages this extensive media ecosystem by combining sports betting and casino products. The objective is to convert the broadcaster's massive audience into long-term active players. Tamar Badashvili, CEO at SetantaBET, emphasized the significance of this new collaboration:

“We are excited to partner with LuckyStreak and further strengthen SetantaBET’s casino offering. This collaboration allows us to expand our game portfolio with content from leading providers and deliver even more entertainment and choice to our players.” - Tamar Badashvili, CEO at SetantaBET

Company officials highlighted the strategic timing of the deal. A flexible, high-capacity casino lobby is essential to capitalize on high sports traffic during major events like the 2026 World Cup.

Why it matters for German players

For German players, such international partnerships have only indirect implications. Germany has established a very specific and strictly regulated online gambling market with the 2021 State Treaty on Gambling (GlüStV 2021). Operators like SetantaBET, targeting international markets, must meet German licensing requirements to legally attract players from Germany. This includes inclusion in the whitelist of the Joint Gambling Authority of the Federal States (GGL). Furthermore, German players must contend with restrictions such as the 1-euro stake limit per spin on slot machines and a monthly deposit limit of 1,000 euros. The central monitoring system LUGAS records player activities. While these strict rules ensure high player protection, they can lead to a less diverse game offering compared to providers without a German license. For German players, this means they should focus on GGL-licensed casinos to ensure they are playing legally and safely.

What it means for GGL-licensed casinos

The strict guidelines of the GGL for online casinos in Germany lead to a different market environment. While international platforms like SetantaBET can rely on a broad selection of over 6,000 games and flexible loyalty programs, GGL-licensed casinos are more restricted. The GGL's regulations aim to maximize player protection. This means, for example, that casino content aggregation on this scale cannot be easily implemented in Germany. The selection of games is often smaller. The design of bonus and loyalty programs is also subject to strict rules to prevent excessive play. GGL-licensed casinos must focus on providing quality and security within the legal framework. The distribution of Setanta Coins and cashback systems, as planned by SetantaBET, would have to be aligned with German bonus restrictions. This makes the German market a challenge for international providers pursuing a global strategy. Expansion into Germany requires significant adjustments to local regulations.
