BGaming: Qualität vor Quantität bei Inhalten für Online-Casinos

BGaming successfully concluded its second 'TRUE WAYS' online conference on content overload in iGaming. Over 450 professionals attended, with more than 50 percent being senior decision-makers.

iGaming content provider BGaming has successfully completed the second edition of its TRUE WAYS online conference. On July 15th, hundreds of industry professionals gathered to discuss the problem of content overload. The conference, first held in 2025, is BGaming's response to the desire for open exchange within the industry. It is set to be an annual event and has been praised for its potential to foster meaningful conversations.

The event attracted over 450 registrations from the entire iGaming ecosystem. More than half of the attendees were senior decision-makers, including C-level executives and department heads. This underscores TRUE WAYS' position as a platform for key industry figures.

Numbers and facts

The conference theme was 'Content Overload in iGaming: Who Wins the Player’s Attention?'. Speakers explored how to stand out in an increasingly saturated market where games, campaigns, and marketing compete for player attention. The role of artificial intelligence (AI) in this landscape was also a topic. Audience engagement was remarkable, with nearly 100 questions submitted before and during the event – more than three times the number received at the inaugural edition. TRUE WAYS consisted of six expert sessions, each lasting up to 20 minutes.

“We are proud to have completed our second TRUE WAYS, and the response and feedback from the industry have been even stronger than we expected. Over its two events, TRUE WAYS has shown there is a desire for challenging conversations and honest talk within the industry, and it has been amazing to see everyone come together to share their experience and offer real, actionable advice.” - Marina Ostrovtsova, CEO at BGaming

Marina Ostrovtsova, CEO of BGaming, opened the conference alongside Surya Palli, creator of iGaming Real Talk, who served as the event's host. The speaker lineup included Carl Wiggman, CEO at Print Studios, Caelum Ferrarese, Casino Product Specialist at Stake, Igor Bondarenko, Product Owner at BGaming, Leonardo Benites, CEO at Propane, Mike Danshin, CMO at 1w Crypto, and Gretta Kockonan, Head of Operations at SOFTSWISS Game Aggregator.

Background

A recurring theme was the realization that quality is much more important than quantity when it comes to content. Gretta Kockonan from SOFTSWISS illustrated this by stating that about five percent of 40,000 titles drive 80 percent of player activity. She argued that the sheer volume of offerings is no longer a guarantee of success. Igor Bondarenko from BGaming urged studios to think more critically about their portfolio output and the risks of releasing repetitive, average titles. The sessions also explored how attention is won beyond the products themselves. Leonardo Benites from Propane looked at how successful brands integrate into Brazilian communities and other ecosystems. Carl Wiggman from Print Studios discussed the difference between how operators and players experience games: For players, games are often a collective lobby experience, while studios view them individually. Mike Danshin from 1w Crypto noted that the battle is no longer for market share, but for one of the three games a player opens during a typical mobile session.

All sessions from the second TRUE WAYS are available on-demand for registered participants. Registration remains open for anyone looking to access the recordings. Marina Ostrovtsova also confirmed that a third edition of the TRUE WAYS online conference is planned for November. In a separate context, the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) authorized DraftKings for multi-state internet poker in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, demonstrating how regulatory frameworks can influence the market and offerings.

Why it matters for German players

German players operate in a clearly regulated market, especially since the 2021 State Treaty on Gambling (GlüStV 2021). The insights from the TRUE WAYS conference, emphasizing quality over quantity, are also relevant for GGL-licensed online gaming halls. Providers on the GGL whitelist must offer innovative and entertaining games to stand out. The 1 Euro stake limit per spin and the monthly deposit limit of 1,000 Euro, monitored by LUGAS (Länderübergreifendes Glücksspielaufsichtssystem), are firm components of the German market. These restrictions mean that players are particularly selective in their game choice. Casinos that focus on high-quality game selection and provide a responsible gaming experience will succeed in the long run. Players in Germany can rely on GGL-licensed providers to meet high standards of player protection and security.

What it means for GGL-licensed casinos

For casinos holding a license from the Joint Gambling Authority of the Federal States (GGL), the conference findings affirm their focus on quality. In the German market, with its strict rules and limits, providing an outstanding player experience is more crucial than ever. It is not enough to offer a large number of games; rather, the existing selection of slots and virtual slot machines must be well-thought-out and appealing. GGL-licensed casinos operating in Germany benefit from offering content that not only entertains but also complies with legal requirements. This includes both the technical implementation and the provision of a secure and reliable gaming environment. The conference contributions suggest that a deep understanding of player needs and an adapted product strategy are crucial for success in a regulated and competitive market.
